1. What we collect
When you create an account and take the Black Leadership Inventory (the "BLI"), The Formation Collective, Inc. ("we," "us") collects: your name and email address; your responses to the 72 assessment questions; the archetype, secondary archetype, and facet scores computed from those responses; and, if you belong to an organization or cohort, your membership in that organization. If you purchase coaching or an Extended Report, we also collect payment and scheduling information through our payment and scheduling processors — we do not store full payment card details ourselves.
2. How we use it
We use your data to generate your folio and reports, to enable organization administrators to view aggregate (non-identifying, cohort-level) statistics for their own organization, to provide coaching services you request, and to improve the Inventory itself. We use limited, privacy-preserving product analytics (assessment starts, completions, and report downloads) to understand product usage; these events are tied to your account but are never sold or shared with third parties for advertising.
3. Who can see your results
Your individual assessment answers and full results are visible only to you. If your organization has purchased a cohort license, your organization's administrators can see aggregate, cohort-level statistics (such as the overall distribution of archetypes) and, where applicable to the license, your individual completed results — this is disclosed to you at the time you join that organization or take the assessment under its license.
4. Data retention and deletion
We retain your account and assessment data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us (see Section 7). In-progress, unsubmitted assessment answers saved for "save-and-resume" are retained only until you complete or abandon the assessment.
5. Security
Your data is stored with Supabase, encrypted in transit and at rest, and protected by row-level security policies that restrict access to your own records and, where applicable, your organization's administrators. We do not sell your personal information.
6. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise any of these rights.
